Today’s concept of digital world is becoming even more complex. If surviving a digital world is difficult for many people, excelling in this new reality is even more challenging. I love challenges. That’s why I took the IT position in Trattoria. I believed I could do a great job improving the company’s workflow while cutting costs, and that’s what happened. I faced a company that grew so fast that its workflow was a mess. In a world where time is money, a company can’t afford losing time on a bad workflow. In order to solve the problem at hand, I adopted Apple Xsan and introduced an optical-fiber network, to solve one huge gap between the editing systems and post-production stations. On the 3D department we developed a render farm of thirty dual processor computers and were able to render almost 50x faster than before. Everything was connected through xServe RAID and we were able to work on any machine and still access the whole workflow. All this without having to go to the ultra expensive hi end solutions such as Quantel Henri or Discreet Flame. The result is in my demo reel. Excellent results for an affordable price, that makes this expensive systems for TV commercials obsolete.

NO MORE MILLION DOLLAR SOLUTIONS
